Montmartre

Charlotte Thérèse Darche (1892–1976) had a deep connection to Paris. Born in Bussières,
Darche spent her early life in the French capital, where she honed her artistic skills and was shaped by the vibrant cultural and creative milieu of the city. After moving to the United States in 1937, Darche established a flourishing career in centers such as New Orleans and Los Angeles.

She exhibited her work in various galleries, including a notable exhibition at the Montmartre Gallery on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles in 1952. This show featured landscapes and urban scenes from France and Southern California alike, as well as floral still lifes.
