La Colombe Bleue

The Lithograph was created as a 2nd limited edition of 1,000 after the drawing. This famous drawing of the Dove of Peace was first conceived by Picasso as a logo for the World Congress of Partisans for Peace in London in 1950. It later served as the logo for the Paris Peace Movement in Cannes, 1961. Picasso willingly created original designs, motifs, and logos when asked for them, if he felt either a political, artistic, or symbolic connection with the publication or cause.
