Beethoven’s Dream Cloud – Large format

This statement print is a dedication to Beethoven’s practice of fostering his own unique association with creating and appreciating music. Tone deafness did not prevent Beethoven from connecting to the music that existed inside him. This mythical visual portrayal reminds us that his music was not created or destroyed. He felt music, and could also see what it had to say [to him]. His dream cloud acts as his muse, a transmitter of how music speaks to him in his moments of remembrance. These musical accounts resolved a way to expand the musical realm. They captured alternative versions of the same story by juxtaposing their differences, interlaced with rival attitudes. With unexpected notes to join them together, they created his signature sensibility; music with unfolding drama.
